Meaning: A consequence of an action or event, especially when complex or unwelcome; the possible results of an action. Eg.: a subdivision of a complex structure or process perceived as comparable to a tree’s branches.

In Hindi: असर, शाखों मेँ बाँटने का काम

Use: John was shocked when he learned the ramification of his cheating was immediate expulsion from the university.
