Prolix

Meaning: Prone to using large words that most people do not understand.  Tediously lengthy.

Synonyms: Long winded, verbose, wordy, pleonastic, discursive, rambling, long drawn out, overlong, lengthy, protracted, interminable.

In Hindi:  प्रपंचीविस्तृतआति दीर्घ.

Use: I had to read the novel with a dictionary beside me because it was too prolix.

John’s reading skills are so poor there is no way he could read a prolix book on genetics.
