Sisyphean

Meaning: Describing something that appears or is actually endless or can never be completed. Both extremely effortful and futile.

Synonyms: Futile, ineffective, pointless, purposeless, unrewarding, unavailing, unproductive, unremunerative, useless, vain, worthless, effortless.

In Hindi: व्यर्थ, बेकार, निष्फल.

Use: It took the accountant nearly a month to accomplish the Sisyphean job of organizing my financial records.

When I had a cold and couldn’t stop sneezing, it seemed as though my days were a Sisyphean cycle of wiping my nose.
