Grovel

Meaning: Lie or move abjectly on the ground with one’s face downward. To be kind to someone in order to gain something. Act in an obsequious manner in order to obtain someone’s forgiveness or favor.

In Hindi: गिड़गिड़ाना

Use: The selfish king is amused when poor people grovel at his feet and ask for favors.
