Meaning: Absurd, unreasonable, foolish or out of place as to be amusing; ridiculous.

Use: I’d been meditating faithfully, when one morning, while on a business trip, I woke up at 4.20 a.m., because of the time change and thought “I’m travelling. May be I should skip meditating.” Then I realized how ludicrous this excuse was.

Although Henry knew it was ludicrous to wear shorts in the freezing weather, she still put on her favorite cutoff jeans.
